Packing Volunteer

Location: Phoenix Office

Details: Pack diaper bundles from diapers we receive from the Diaper Bank, so families can easily pick up individually packed sets at the resource centers. We also have days to pack educational materials for workshops at our Family Resource Centers. Packing is a great project for work teams, families, or individuals.

Tutor for Foster Children

Location: Individual foster homes around the valley

Details: Even when foster children are placed in a loving and safe foster home, they have sometimes fallen behind in their education and need support in catching up to their grade level. A few of our foster families are looking for homework and tutoring support for children they are fostering. Stop by the home once a week or a few times a week to help the children with their schoolwork. We have children in a variety of grade levels.

Food Pantry Truck Unloading Volunteer

Location: First Evangelical Food Pantry

Details: Assist with unloading food truck deliveries from United Food Bank. Organize and store items in appropriate locations. Ability to lift approximately 50lbs consistently based on quantity of items delivered (sacks of potatoes, boxes of frozen chicken, etc.). A volunteer is needed on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month from 6am-8am and the 1st, 3rd, 4th, and last Tuesdays of the month from 6am-8am.
