To better serve you, we set up a help desk for all of your questions pertaining to payments, tax receipts, and any other donation needs. This line is monitored from Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you leave a message at this number, your call will be returned within 1 business day.

  • We accept online donations of all major credit cards and checks in the mail to: Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest, 3636 N Central Ave, Suite 300, Phoenix, AZ 85012. We also accept donations of stock, gifts from Donor Advised Funds, and more. With specific questions, call our Help Desk: (480) 387-5382

  • You'll receive an emailed receipt a few minutes after making a donation online. Letters for all financial donations will be sent within 2 weeks of when we receive your gift. If you have lost or did not receive a receipt for your gift, please give us a call at our help desk, (480) 387-5382 and we can issue you a new one. You can also request your receipt by using this form.

  • Checks dated 12/31/2026 as well as online donations made before 1/1/2027 will be honored as 2026 donations.

  • Donations of up to $506 from single filers and $1,009 can qualify for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit. Our QCO number is: 20277. Find out more here.

  • No, LSS-SW doesn't quality for this tax credit, but here is a list of all of the Qualifying Foster Children Tax Credit Organizations.

  • Of course! Just let us know in our online giving form or make a note in the memo line of your check.

  • We would love that! When you make your gift, let us know that you're giving in honor or memory of a loved one. If you'd like anyone to receive acknowledgement directly from us, please let us know as well.

  • We accept donations of these types of gifts year-round. Before bringing your gift to our office, please check our donation hours and/or make an appointment to make sure that we are able to accept your donation.

  • Visit https://app.betterimpact.com/login. Click on the "Hours" tab, and then "New Time Log Entry." Select your activity from the dropdown list, enter the date and hours you volunteered, and answer any of the other feedback fields. Make sure you click "Save." Thank you!
