Mesa Mayor John Giles: Spotlight on Hunger at Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest

We were honored to host Mesa Mayor John Giles recently at our Partners in Caring Food Pantry, housed at First Evangelical Lutheran Church

Mayor Giles was born and raised in Mesa, graduating from Westwood High School, in the same neighborhood as our food pantry. Mayor Giles visited the Food Pantry as part of his "Spotlight on Hunger" tour, where he visits local nonprofits who are combating hunger in Mesa.

We are proud of the small operation with a big impact at First Evangelical. Each year, our dedicated team of volunteers distributes 10,000 boxes of food to our vulnerable neighbors in Mesa.

Thank you, Mayor Giles, for your support to the cause and dedication to increasing awareness.
