Jenny Tatum joined Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest as the Director of Volunteer Engagement in December 2017.  Jenny works within Partners in Action, overseeing the volunteer engagement and in-kind donation programs of the agency.  Jenny and the Volunteer Services team recruit, onboard, and support community members - connecting them with ways they can share their time and ideas across LSS-SW.  She and her team also lead the seasonal in-kind campaigns, including the Christmas program which provides over 1,500 clients with gifts each year. 

Jenny has worked within the non-profit sector for more than 20 years and received, and maintained, her CVA - Certification in Volunteer Administration since 2010. Many of her best ideas for improving volunteer processes come from her own experience as a volunteer - including her current roles as a member of a refugee co-sponsor team and teaching student ministry at her church for the 4-6th grades.  

Jenny holds a Bachelors Degree in Family Studies & Human Development, with a minor in Religious Studies from the University of Arizona.  She loves being able to connect members of the community with ways they can turn their compassion into action - sharing their time, talent and treasure to help a fellow neighbor.
