Christine Kobasic

Chief Financial Officer

Christine joined Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest in March 2018 as Chief Financial Officer and brings more than two decades of executive leadership experience in finance, human resources, information technology, and operations within mission-driven nonprofit organizations.

In her role at LSS, Christine provides strategic financial and operational leadership that supports the organization’s mission to serve individuals, families, and communities with compassion, dignity, and hope. She oversees financial stewardship, budgeting, compliance, risk management, and organizational effectiveness, ensuring resources are responsibly managed to maximize impact and sustain long-term mission delivery.

Christine partners across the organization to strengthen systems and infrastructure that directly support programs and client services, including HR practices, technology modernization, and operational improvement. She is known for aligning financial strategy with mission priorities, helping ensure that every operational decision supports the people and communities LSS serves.

A servant leader at heart, Christine’s approach is grounded in faith, integrity, and a commitment to empowering others. She is passionate about building strong, mission-aligned teams and fostering a culture where employees are supported, valued, and equipped to serve others effectively.

She studied at Grand Canyon University and continues to prioritize lifelong learning and leadership development.

Christine is recognized for her ability to balance strong financial stewardship with compassionate, mission-centered leadership, ensuring organizational strength directly advances the work of serving people in need.
