Caitlin Gonzales, MSW, serves as Director of Advancement Operations and Analytics for Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest (LSS-SW), where she leads the data, systems, analytics and reporting infrastructure that helps the organization understand its impact, strengthen donor relationships, and make informed strategic decisions.

An Arizona native and Licensed Master Social Worker, Caitlin is passionate about strengthening the communities she has called home her entire life. Caitlin has spent the last decade working alongside nonprofit organizations to develop programs, assess their effectiveness, and turn evidence into action. Her work has helped refugees, people experiencing homelessness, older adults, students, and families facing perinatal loss find the resources, stability, and support they deserve.

She joined LSS-SW in 2022 and previously served as Program Development and Evaluation Coordinator, working across the organization’s service divisions to lead initiatives, measure outcomes, and translate data into insights that strengthen services and inform strategy. For Caitlin, data is more than numbers. It is a way to honor client experiences, measure what matters, and ensure organizations remain accountable to the communities they exist to serve. She believes that people overcoming challenges deserve the dignity of evidence.

After years of leading program evaluation and impact measurement efforts, she now brings that same passion to advancement by translating outcomes into compelling stories that demonstrate the real-world impact of philanthropy. Her work helps connect donors, funders, and community partners to the meaningful change their support makes possible, and to the outcomes their investments help achieve. Through thoughtful analysis and reporting, Caitlin helps ensure LSS-SW has a wide and informed donor reach, is a responsible steward of philanthropic resources, and is able to clearly demonstrate the impact of every dollar entrusted to its mission.
