How to help victims of Hurricane Harvey and Irma
Many kind-hearted friends have been reaching out to us asking how to help victims of Hurricane Harvey and Irma. Here are some sister organizations that you can donate to to rebuild lives. Financial donations are needed the most. As we get any more information we will share it on our Facebook page.
Upbring (formerly Lutheran Social Services of Texas) has a Disaster Response team mobilizing in the affected areas to provide 350+ foster families with immediate, short and long term response and recovery assistance.
Lutheran Services Florida is bringing immediate aid and ongoing assistance to the affected areas to help people rebuild their homes and their lives.
Lutheran Social Services of the Virgin Islands has activated their disaster response to coordinate relief throughout the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, including emergency shelter, counseling, food delivery and home reconstruction.
ELCA Lutheran Disaster Response is actively present, collaborating with community leaders and officials to initiate the proper responses, particularly the long-term recovery efforts.
LCMS Disaster Response is coordinating with Texas District Disaster Response to launch a significant and sustained relief effort in response to Hurricane Harvey.

> Be patient. Because the event has not ended, damages will take weeks and months to assess. There is much work to be done assessing the real needs.
