Aging unearths new sense of purpose

As an artist, David was particularly devastated when a stroke robbed him of the use of his dominant hand.
Suddenly, he could no longer create the paintings, sculptures, and stained glass that had been his life’s passion.
But this loss eventually turned into a blessing when David began to discover a new sense of purpose and expression - gardening. Today, David enjoys his simple life in his studio apartment where he is surrounded by his art and gardens.
When David is not able to cook from this garden, he enjoys the meals he receives from LSS-SW Pima Meals on Wheels. He says, “Thank you for allowing me to live at home where I am surrounded by beauty.”
