Leftovers can be Game Changers.

We serve thousands of people each year, including older adults and people with disabilities, children and families, refugees and immigrants, and people experiencing hunger and homelessness. As you can imagine, all year we receive requests for specific items from staff and clients across all of these essential service areas. These needs sometimes cannot be met for a variety of reasons. Either they are too varied and don’t fit into the asks we’re already making, or they are for just one item, but regardless they are not something we usually have the chance to ask for. We call these items the Leftovers. They don’t fit into our standard campaigns and messaging, but they are still necessary for people to thrive.

Take a look at our Amazon Wishlist here.

You’ll find items like:

  • Shampoo and soap. These can go to people across any of our programs in need, including people experiencing homelessness or new refugees.

  • Pressure cookers. Refugees often ask for these so that they can cook meals they know from home.

  • Snack bags. These snacks are given to asylum seekers so that they are fed on their journey to live with relatives out of state.

  • Can openers. People visiting our food pantries often need a can opener to access the food, but for those on a fixed income, it can be hard to purchase.

  • Gift cards. These allow clients and staff to purchase exactly what they need, giving them a sense of empowerment and ease of access to supplies.

You can choose to ship items directly to our office in Phoenix. Donations will be distributed to our programs statewide to meet the most urgent needs of our clients.
