Parent Aide and Supervised Visitation
Through a partnership with the Department of Child Safety, LSS-SW stabilizes families during times of crisis with Parent Aide and Supervised Visitation. These services are essential in the ongoing goal of family reunification.
LSS-SW Parent Aides build strong foundations for parents who face a variety of challenges and have had their children removed from their home. Parent Aides meet with clients on a weekly basis to strengthen skills and abilities of parents. Topics may include managing stress, household management, child development, and the impact of substances on children.
Parent Aides also provide supervised visitation in a environment so that families can maintain contact while their case with DCS is being resolved.
Families must be referred by the Department of Child Safety (DCS).
