The Fires in Southern California—Serving Those in Need
Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest (LSS-SW) continues to respond to the needs of people impacted by the wildfires that devastated southern California this fall. The fires heavily damaged property of members in congregations in the Pacifica Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the Pacific Southwest District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Recovery efforts will continue for years to come. You can make a donation through this website or mail your gift to LSS-SW. Please make sure to designate you gift for the California wildfires.

La’Tresa Jester, Division Director for Disaster Services, Community, Family & Congregations
left Phoenix this fall to assess and assist community needs in Southern California. La’Tresa looked
over the devastation in this Ramona, California trailer park.
“Due to the age of some of the trailers,
despite
being in good shape prior to the fire, they could not be insured,” explained La’Tresa.
