Life Counseling Network, A Program of LSS-SW
Meeting the Needs of Individuals and Families
Life Counseling Network (LCN), a program of Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest is growing in southern and taking root in northern Arizona.
Holly Brown-Sisson is LCN’s Counseling Director, and she is the counselor in the Tucson area. “Meeting the counseling needs that have grown from LSS-SW’s relationship with pastors and congregations is phenomenal,” said Holly. “While LSS-SW provides services regardless of affiliation, creed or background, it is personally gratifying to know my services are a part of an overall social ministry.”
In the Tucson area including Oro Valley and Green Valley, services hours have increased to meet the needs of current and new clients seeking individual, family or marriage counseling. Holly does marriage preparation work using the "Prepare/Enrich Inventories."
In Prescott and Prescott Valley, counseling for families and individuals is now available full-time. Tom Rollis, LCN’s counselor, is working very hard to make the community aware that he is ready to serve them. Tom is focusing on parent education and family counseling using a program called SOS Help for Parents.: “We use workbooks, videos and discussion groups to really help parents deal with an out-of control teenager, using love and setting limits,” explained Tom. Tom also provides counseling services in the areas of divorce and co-parenting, couple’s communication, and individual and family counseling for improved health and wellness.
LCN offers professional counseling services to individuals and families on a sliding fee scale based upon need. The agency is taking steps to be able to accept insurance payments.
