Refugee Resettlement Services

Since 1982, LSS-SW has provided comprehensive resettlement and adjustment services to help thousands of refugees fleeing social, political and religious persecution. Our resettlement staff reflects the diversity of arriving refugee populations and speaks over 25 languages. We help new arrivals acquire the basic necessities for starting life anew, such as: food, clothing, medical care, a first apartment, furniture, personal items and meaningful employment.

Our primary goal is to help refugees adjust to life in America and become self-sufficient as quickly as possible. LSS-SW works closely with church co-sponsors, community groups and family anchors to provide the resources necessary for the successful integration and independence of refugee families.

Asylum Program of Arizona

Since Oct. 2005, LSS-SW has provided legal aid for non-detained, indigent asylum seekers and their families who have fled persecution from nations throughout the world. Our skilled immigration attorneys and paralegal staff provide professional case management services and legal representation to people seeking political asylum and the protection of the United States.

Immigration Services

LSS-SW provides low-cost, high quality immigration services to refugees and asylees in the Phoenix and Tucson areas. We help individuals achieve U.S. citizenship through Adjustment of Status (green card), Naturalization Proceedings, and help reunite family members left overseas through Family Reunification Petitions.
