Community & Family Services
LSS-SW provides a full-range of health and human services in our mission to serve the complex needs of children, families and adults in communities throughout Arizona. We help improve the quality of life for the isolated elderly; disadvantaged youth and adults; individuals, couples and families in crisis; the working poor who need help feeding their families; and for someone who may just need help finding a better job. Our faith continues to serve as a source of strength, as we help relieve suffering, provide opportunity and add "A Touch of Hope" to the lives of our neighbors who may have just lost their way.
Life Counseling Network
Pima and Yavapai County
LSS-SW offers professional counseling services to individuals and families on a sliding fee scale based upon need. Individual marriage counseling is also available as well as marriage preparation work utilizing the "Prepare/Enrich Inventories."

Our services include career assessment and aptitude testing; resume preparation, job leads, resource materials and networking in Phoenix and Tucson. RESIDENT OPPORTUNITIES AND SELF SUFFICIENCY
LSS-SW provides transportation services, socialization activities and health literacy education programming for 600 elderly, disabled and/or mentally challenged residents in three City of Tucson public housing complexes: Tucson House, Craycroft Towers and Landers Garden. Activities are held on-site and have been designed to reduce self-isolation, maximize independence and promote the physical and emotional well being of each resident.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM FOR INSTRUCTIONAL AND RECREATIONAL EDUCATION
LSS-SW volunteers tutor fourth, fifth and sixth grade children, from monolingual Spanish speaking families, in math, language and reading. We provide students with a quiet place to study, as many home situations are not conducive to completing schoolwork.

We provide telephone support to people seeking comfort, or who need help finding the courage for change, or who may just want someone to listen and lessen their pain of isolation. Our faith continues to serve as a source of strength for many of our callers, and we are able to walk this path with them.
