Position #1: On-Call
Location: Eastside
Shift: One client Split Weekends
Hours: Saturday 8:30am-1:30pm & 4:30pm-8:30pm, Sunday 4pm-7pm
Total hours: 12 hours weekly

 

Position #2: On-Call
Location: Southside
Shift: One client Split Weekends
Hours: Saturday morning / Saturday evenings, Sunday morning / Sunday Evenings
Total hours: 16 hours weekly

 

Position #3: Full-Time
Location: Catalina
Shift: Multiple Clients
Hours: Monday through Friday 8am-3pm
Total Hours: 36 hours weekly

Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest currently has four job openings in our new Family SPOT Resource Centers. Two openings are for Program Coordinators and two for Program Assistant. Job Descriptions are available via email at JRadoccia@lss-sw.org.

This is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of our newest program. Family Spot Resource centers are being established at Trinity Lutheran Church, 9424 North 7th Avenue and St. Mark Lutheran Church, 3030 E Thunderbird Road. Each center will have one fulltime time Program Coordinator and one part time Program Assistant. Family SPOT Resource centers will open in early March to serve families with children birth – 5 years old. Family SPOT activities will include developmental playgroups, parenting classes and assistance to locate community resources for families in need.

PROGRAM COORDINATORS

Job Duties:

  • Provide direct service to individuals, families and in group settings
  • Participate in development of programs for families and their children birth – five
  • Conduct Intake interviews and complete intake paperwork for potential families
  • Prepare written reports and maintain records in accordance with contractual requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with collaborating agencies and community partners
  • Be willing to work and engage in a variety of church activities and with Church personnel and members
  • Locate local community resources for families in need
  • Interface with a variety of comprehensive programs and services (i.e. case management) of the LSS-SW and other agencies in order to facilitate meeting the needs of individuals and families seeking services
  • Participate in the development and implementation of program evaluation
  • Ability to supervise program employees and volunteers to meet program objectives
  • Good verbal and written communications skills (Bilingual English/Spanish preferred)
  • Present Professional attitude, respect cultural and ethnic differences and wear professional attire at all times.
  • Must have reliable transportation to be able to attend local community meetings

Preferred Background and Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Services, Behavior Health or closely related field and two years relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of human service systems and resources
  • Current CPR, First Aid Certificate
  • Current Level 1 Fingerprint Card and TB Test
  • Good understanding of computer hardware and software
  • Good Time Management ability and ability to work independently

Hours

  • 35 – 40 hours per week
  • Five Days per week including Saturday
  • One to two evenings per week until 8pm

 

CLINICAL LEAD PROGRAM FACILITATOR

Delivers direct services to court involved youth, conducts intake interviews, prepares written reports, and supervises staff.  Must have an LCSW or LPC license with at least 2 years of direct experience working with youth in the Juvenile Justice System. Current First Aid, CPR, TB and Level1 fingerprint clearance card.
