Aging and Disability Services
Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest provides quality assistance for seniors and adults with disabilities through our Adult Day Health Care Centers and In-Home Care Services programs. We are committed to promoting the dignity, independence, and quality of life for individuals and their families.

Adult Day Health Care Centers specialize in services for the elderly and adults with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, post-stroke conditions and other disabilities. Our goal is to provide a structured, supportive and safe environment that promotes an individual’s level of independence, and respite and educational opportunities for families and caregivers.
Clients participate in a variety of therapeutic and social activities to keep their minds stimulated and bodies active and healthy. Rehabilitation services for young adults with traumatic brain injury are offered at select locations.

In-Home Care provides the very finest quality care that enables the frail elderly and individuals with disabilities to live at home and maintain their highest level of independence. Our comprehensive care offers much needed rest and peace of mind for clients and their loved ones. We also help clients navigate the complex maze of health care and social service options available to them.

Nutrition Services (In Pima County Only)
Senior Nutrition Services provides nutritious meals to home bound seniors through our Meals on Wheels Program. The meals are low fat, low salt and meets one-third of the recommended dietary allowances. Trained drivers deliver chilled and frozen meals while making valuable daily health and safety checks on each recipient. The home delivered meals improve the dietary intake of participants and offer opportunities to be linked with community resources.
Senior Nutrition Services Eligibility
- Persons 60 years of age or older (or spouse regardless of age) who have at least two functional limitations in activities of daily living, which restricts their ability to obtain and prepare appropriate meals within their home and has no other meal preparation assistance available.
- Persons must have the ability to serve themselves and the facilities to refrigerate, freeze and heat meals.
